I can't say enough good things about Fishbone Bistro. Warm ambiance, comfortable seating, and the service made us feel like we were the only table in the room (although the restaurant was fairly full). We had a flaming sausage to start - delicious. The specials were incredible. I ordered a dish that I can't remember the name of, but it was similar to a light seafood stew in an herb broth. Delicious, perfectly cooked food and the flavour was out of this world. Highly recommended! My husband had the whole sea bass. The owner, Pedro, deboned the fish at the table and explained some things about Portuguese cuisine. My son had the steak, and the presentation was like nothing I had seen before! I've been telling everyone I know to check this place out. We didn't have time to try dessert (an excuse to go back)! Hearty portions, excellent wine, beautiful decor.... you have to try it! We'd been to Malhotra's before and loved the food, service and atmosphere so we went again with another couple. Each pair of us got a serving of Butter Chicken and one of Bangkok Chicken to share. Next time I'm going to try channa masala and I'm sure my expectations will be far exceeded. The chef and his wife are lovely people, and the chef has always come out to see how we liked are meal. He's a classically french trained chef, so the food has this amazing fusion of Indian and French flavour. Absolutely delicious. They try to tone down the spiciness for first time visitors, so don't forget to tell them if you like your food hot! I don't think you can make reservations and the place is small but we haven't had a problem getting in. I've heard from others though that they lined up on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall, I am extremely satisfied and will definitely be returning. Read more
